Interstate Used Parts & Auto Sales (better known as Interstate VW) opened for business over 30 years ago to accommodate the increasing demand for original, German used VW parts. Interstate VW first opened its doors in 1987 in Vista, California and now has grown to be one of the largest suppliers of original VW used parts and automobiles in the world. Owner, Jim Lucca, began by restoring VW Beetle convertibles and Karmann Ghias. His passion and knowledge grew from one car, to several restored cars and parts. In the late 1980's, VW cars and parts were being crushed by wrecking yards on the east coast. The opportunity came for a team, lead by Jim, to make the journey across country to dismantle and transport many tractor trailers full of VW German parts back to Southern California (See In the Press tab to read more). Jim was determined to save as many VW used parts as possible to assist others in restoring their classic Volkswagen. In 2003, the company relocated to Lake Elsinore, California (between Los Angeles and San Diego). Interstate VW holds vast amounts of used VW parts for both the vintage VW, as well as the newer VW automobiles, and everything in between, specializing in the years 1958 to present. Besides servicing the local VW owners, we also ship to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and overseas.
